Black Jesus

Nothin to really say. These videos were produced by Aaron McGruder, the creator of The Boondocks. This is for entertainment purposes only.

It Aint Trickin If You Got It

The video is funny yet informative, gives you both sides of the males perspective. Me personally am torn between the two.  I'm a lil older now so I do understand that doing something for someone you may like, care about or just want to do something nice for is not wrong, just make sure that you keep things in perspective.  Just cuz you bought her that doesn't mean you're entitled to anything, at the same token don't just take blood shit cuz he givin to you.  Now for yall that can't get none and keep payin fa everything, buyin her hella shit and still aint gettin none you should have learned ya lesson by now.  Just think about all the dudes wit the A.O.B mentality, thats a good indicator that your money should stay in your pockets.  Ladies don't think I'm hatin or nothin cuz if u got blood doin all this fa you mo' power to ya, just don't come round here thinkin its good cuz you will get ya feelings hurt quick fast and in a hurry.

The One For You

"In your mind you prolly thinkin we don't love you but on the real we just not used to what love do and please consider that we were taught to love money, ice, cars and clothes love pussy but you don't love them hoes" Lil Wayne

You wouldn't believe how much I hear females complain about they nigga problems, he aint doin this , he aint doin that.  Did it ever cross your mind that he doesn't know what you want or expect from him?  As males we are told to never cry, show emotions that you have to be strong.  After being told that and acting accordingly there isn't a switch that just be turned off and instantly become what you expect him to be.  The Wayne quote above, is a general statement but pretty much the truth.

My father growing up encouraged my brother and I to "get on females", giving us incentives if we got her number. My mother recently told me that I am too young to be worried about a girlfriend and I need to go be hoe. So with that in mind how do you expect us to be? From birth males and females are taught totally different game plans when it comes to dating and dealing with the opposite sex.  Every female is told that she is special and that she deserves the best, so now she's out looking for this Prince Charming that just doesn't exist. I will say that the B.O.B (bruhs over bitches) and A.O.B (all on a bitch) mindset does nothing for either of us, but it is something thats real and has to be dealt with.

For those of you females that feel that there are no good dudes out there, you can thank yourselves for that.  It isn't that there aren't good guys, the problem is that somewhere in his past he was probably done wrong and as a result of that he's not going to let that happen again. Or, like I previously stated he just doesn't fit all the criteria that you're looking for (as if you're perfect).  Then we have the female that feels she is oh so solid but just can't find a guy thats going to treat her right.  Your problem is that you're probably attracted to the kinda guys that have the A.O.B and B.O.B state of mind or maybe your not as solid as you think. Either way something has to change.

All I really wanted to say is don't be so closed minded, you never know what kind of guy you might meet once you loose your list of things that you're looking for.  Don't put materialistic values over a man's character and integrity.

I Roc Wit Obama but I Aint No Politician

I was up having a late night convo wit a good friend of mine as i tend to do from time to time and we started discussing "winning" in the game of life and how there are so many obstacles that us as black males have to over come.  After many twists in turn in our disscussion, we end up talking about how Jay Z and Barack Obama are similar more than they are different.  Instantly they Kanye West lyrics (his lyrics will be a reoccurring thing for me on this blog) "he went from being a broke man to being the dope man to being the president, look there's hope man".  No Barack never hustled on the block or nothing like that but he did come from humble begginnings. Both grew up without a fathers and had make their own paths throughout life.  They both took different paths but both ended up being very successful and are considered pioneers, the best at what they do.

Hov has taken a different approach to the rap game and the same can be said about Obama.  On the outside things can look peaceful and serene but that couldnt be further from the truth.  im not talking about anything specific that has to deal with these two men, what im talking about is pain and agony that goes along with being a black male.

Who better than a black male like myself to talk about this subject.  Not throwing myself a pity party or anything but we do have it hard.  At times it feels as if I the only way out of our situation is to have either a ball of some sort or a mic in our hand, not taking anything away from Obama but I personally don't feel that his getting elected will change any of that in the near future.  I know people that have lived in 4 different states, i repeat 4 different states and still can't get a job.  I know you're probably thinking that he's had to have caught some F's (felonies) or something but no, the only constant thing here is that he can't get a job.  I don't wanna hear shit about no recession either cuz bruh been on the prowl for a min now, but i digress.

I will say that the country has come along way from the days of having high powered water hoses and police dogs attacks but for all additions there are so many subtractions.  I'm a firm believer in that whenever you have a problem look within before looking to place the blame on anyone else.  Don't get me wrong anyone that knows me knows that Drewsky is the life of the party and loves to get on, but I do understand that there is a time and place for everything.  We all are projects that are constantly being worked on and hopefully attempting to get better, i just hope that we are able to look at the past and present so we will be able to build the future that we all wish and hope for.  I'm bout to get up outta here, as i always say I wanna see everybody eat and make sure i shout out my patna cole for always bein there. So continue to put your family first (i know i will).

As the title states, more random shit....

Shout out to DNASTEE for this one...

A few things I came across and wanted to share....

Got Next

Nothin to major happening today i am about to enjoy this day off (finally) and relax. i really just wanted to shout out a few of my bruhs that you need to be on the look out for.

Im a start wit my nigga G.Q. For those who don't know this is the same guy that played at hoop UNC, I know what you're thinking and no he's not another athlete trying to rap. Its not a question of if but when will he be a household name. Lyrically he's up there with the Jay-Z's, Lil Wayne's and etc. It doesn't stop there he's also a great story teller and knows how to write a song. He is currently in the studio with 9th wonder (yes the same producer that has worked with Destiny's Child, Jay-z, Mos Def and Mary J. Blige to name a few) working on his mixtape and first studio album.

Now my nigga Sam has been doin his air brush thing for a min and everybody in the town knows he's the hottest at what he does. What he does is rather unique, not too much to say about bruh, the artwork speaks for itself. He works with all different types of mediums from airbrush to pencil to graphic design, he just does it all. He's done art for numerous NFL players like Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Trent Edwars of the Buffalo Bills and Justin Tuck of the New York Giants, with many more to come. Here are some samples of what he can do. Be sure to check him out at myspace.com/cainhickscustom and marshawn23.com

Before I get outta here I just wanna give a shout to League510 on that record release and video. Lastly make sure you check out DNasteee on the itunes radio on tuesdays at 12.

Day Without A Gay

With the recent passing of prop 8, there have been numerous attempts to reopen the vote and have it repealed.  The latest attempt to do so will take place tomorrow December 10, 2008.  I keep hearing all types of things about the bible, religion and morally its not right but who are you (and me for that matter) to push your beliefs and ways on other people.  I personally don't care just don't try no funny shit with me and we all good.  This day 'day without a gay' campaign is urging for people to call in gay!  I don't know about you but I need all the money I can get so calling period just isn't going to happen.  I do applaud the gay community for being proactive and not sitting back taking in the rear (no pun intended).  This is a lesson that we all can learn from especially us black people.

Best not to drop???

Now i'm pretty sure that you've heard of Drake by now (if you haven't i have a playlist) and we all know that he's talented can sing and rap.  He's signed to Young Money records Lil Wayne's label, which is something like a catch 22. Throughout the years there have been many artist that Weezy signed but none have yet to put out an album.  So now we have Drake an undoubtedly hot artist that is gaining a lot of buzz by working with the hottest man in music right now (Wayne) and a host of other artist but will actually come out with an album of his own or will Wayne add him to his collection of best artist to never have had their own album??? I guess only time will tell.

Can a nigga get some peace!

As I am about to log in to yahoo to check my email I notice a picture of President Elect Barack Obama with the title "Obama's smoking issue". Me being the nigga I am instantly think that he's blowing dro (weed), eagerly I click on the link to see that the issue is with him smoking cigarettes.  The first thing that pops in my head is if i was the first black president of this racist ass country I'd fa sho be smoking a whole lot more than cigarettes!

President-elect Barack Obama appears during a taping of 'Meet the Press' Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, in Chicago (AP Photo/Meet The Press, Alex Wong)   I feel that we as a country have a lot more serious issues to deal with to be worried bout him smoking cigarettes. I say let the nigga smoke his newports and go on bout his business.

In the harsh light of the morning after his sentencing, O.J. Simpson's future was clear on Saturday.
In another case of letting a nigga get some peace, they wasn't gone rest til they OJ and they got his dumb ass too. What kind nigga would go to jail for stealin pictures of his own self.  Somebody shoulda took his ass to town photo if he wanted his own picture that damn bad!

You know I couldn't get outta here without talking bout Plaxico Burress' ass.  For those of you who don't know who he is or what he did, here is a link to an article  http://www.abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=6378395&page=1    Plaxico Burress NY Giants gun shot thigh arraignmentNot only did he shoot himself with his own gun, he got suspended for the rest of the year and to add insult to injury he got arrested! I say shootin yo self and not gettin paid is enough punishment in itself, but the mayor of New York is pushing for Burress to aggressively prosecuted.  On top of all that the nigga teammate snitchin!

All I can say damn, after all the shit we done been through, Can a nigga get some peace!

Who Knows....
